Privacy Policy
Effective 7 October 2026 · Last updated 7 October 2026 · Version 2026-10-07
This policy explains how Gate Wall Studios LLC handles personal information on this website, gatewallstudios.com, in email you send us, in our games, and in software work we do for business clients. The short version: this website keeps only standard server logs, sets no cookies and runs no tracking.
Sealuno, our accounting software, has its own Privacy Policy at sealuno.com. That policy, not this one, covers Sealuno.
1. What we never do
- We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone, and we do not share it for advertising.
- This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising, tracking pixels or social media plug-ins.
- This website loads nothing from any other company: no outside fonts, scripts, videos, maps or embedded content. Our server tells your browser to refuse anything that is not ours.
- There are no forms, sign-ups or accounts on this website. Apart from the server and firewall logs described in section 3, the only information we hold about you is what you choose to send us.
2. Who we are
Gate Wall Studios LLC is a Wyoming limited liability company. In this policy "we", "us" and "our" mean Gate Wall Studios LLC, 1021 E Lincolnway, Suite 10442, Cheyenne, WY 82001, United States. For the personal information described here, other than information we handle inside a client's systems (section 7), we are the controller: we decide why and how it is used.
3. When you visit this website
Server logs
Like almost every web server, ours keeps a log of the requests it receives. Each entry records the IP address the request came from, the date and time, the page or file requested, whether it was served, and the details your browser sends with every request, such as its name and version and the address of the page that linked you here. Our firewall also records the IP addresses of connections it blocks.
We use these records only to run the website, find faults and protect it against attacks and abuse. We do not use them to build a profile of you, and we do not combine them with other information.
Your light or dark setting
If you press the light/dark switch at the top of the page, your browser remembers your choice in its own
storage on your device, under the name theme with the value light or
dark. It is not a cookie, it is never sent to us, and it does nothing except choose the colours.
If you never press the switch, nothing is stored and the page follows your device's setting. You can remove
it at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser.
Links to other websites
Links to sealuno.com and to the Sealuno sign-up page take you to a different website with its own privacy policy. When you follow a link from this site to another one, your browser tells that site only that you came from gatewallstudios.com, not which of our pages you were reading. Email links open your own email program, and nothing is sent until you send it.
4. When you write to us
If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if your email program includes it, and whatever you write and attach. We use it to reply, to deal with what you asked about, and, if it leads to work together, to keep the record of that work. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not send marketing email.
Our email is provided by Microsoft 365, so messages you send us are stored and processed by Microsoft on our behalf (see section 9).
5. Our games
Our first game, Eternal Bastion, is not released yet. As it is built today, it saves your progress on your device, needs no account, and has no advertising, analytics or online features: our game code sends nothing to us or to anyone else. Your device's own backup may include the save, under your phone's settings.
Before Eternal Bastion or any other game of ours is released, we will update this policy, or publish a privacy notice for that game, so that it says exactly what the game collects, if anything, before you download it.
Our games are distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play. If you buy a game or anything inside one, the store takes the payment and handles your store account under its own terms and privacy policy. We never receive your card details.
6. Sealuno
Sealuno is accounting and invoicing software that we build, host and sell. Everything about how Sealuno handles information, including sign-up, workspaces, billing and the data in a customer's books, is covered by its own documents at sealuno.com: the Sealuno Privacy Policy, the Sealuno Terms of Service and the Data Processing Agreement. Where this page and those documents differ about Sealuno, those documents apply.
7. Clients of our software services
When we build or support software for a business, we keep the business contact details of the people we deal with there, such as name, role, work email and phone number, together with the correspondence, proposals, agreements and invoices for the work. We use them to carry out the work, to bill for it, and to keep the business records the law requires.
Some work means using a client's own systems, and those can contain personal information about the client's customers or staff. When that happens we act only on the client's instructions and only for that piece of work, as the client's processor or service provider, under the written agreement for it. The client remains responsible to the people concerned, so questions about that information are best sent to the client first. We do not use it for anything of our own, and we do not keep it beyond what the agreement allows.
8. Why we use it
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the law asks us to name the basis for using your personal information:
- Server and firewall logs: our legitimate interest in keeping the website running and secure.
- Email you send us: our legitimate interest in answering it, or taking steps you asked for before entering into an agreement with you.
- Client contact details and records: performing our agreement with the client, our legitimate interest in running the relationship, and our legal obligations to keep business and tax records.
Where we rely on legitimate interests, you can object, as explained in section 13. We do not make decisions about you by automated means alone.
9. Who else handles it
A small number of companies handle information for us. They handle it to provide their service to us, under their own data protection terms.
| Who | What for | What they get |
|---|---|---|
| VultrUnited States | Hosts the server this website runs on. | Everything the server holds, including the server logs. |
| MicrosoftMicrosoft 365 | Our email. | Email you send us and our replies. |
| GoDaddyUnited States | Registers our domain name and answers lookups for it. | Lookups of the name gatewallstudios.com, not the pages you read. |
This website does not use any analytics, advertising or content-delivery company. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to a company that takes over our business, which would then be bound by this policy.
10. Where it is stored
This website runs on a server in the United States, so the server logs are kept there. Email is stored by Microsoft, which may process it in the United States and in other countries where it operates. If you are outside the United States, writing to us or visiting this site means your information is handled in the United States, which may have different data protection rules from your own country. Where the law requires a safeguard for that transfer, we rely on the ones our providers offer in their data protection terms, such as standard contractual clauses.
11. How long we keep it
- Server and firewall logs: only as long as we need them to run and protect the website, and then deleted. Copies can sit for a short time inside routine backups of the server before they age out.
- Your light or dark setting: on your device until you clear it. We never have it.
- Email: as long as it is useful for dealing with your message and any follow-up, and longer only where it becomes part of a business record we must keep.
- Client and business records: for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Information inside a client's systems: only for the work, and returned or deleted as the client's agreement says.
12. Security
This website is served only over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Our server tells your browser not to load anything from other websites and not to let other sites show our pages inside their own.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach ever affects your personal information, we will tell you promptly where we have a way to reach you, and explain what happened and what we are doing about it.
13. Your rights
Wherever you live, you can write to us to:
- ask whether we hold personal information about you, and get a copy of it;
- have it corrected if it is wrong;
- have it deleted, unless we must keep it by law;
- object to how we use it, or ask us to stop.
In the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, under the GDPR and the UK GDPR, you also have the right to restrict how we use your information, to receive it in a portable form, and to complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office). We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
In California and other US states with privacy laws, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to have it deleted, and to have it corrected. We do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it, we do not use sensitive personal information, and we will not treat you differently for using your rights. You may ask someone you authorise to make a request for you.
To use any of these rights, write to us at the address in section 16. We may need to confirm that a request really comes from you before acting on it. We answer within one month, and tell you if we need longer and why.
14. Children
This website is about a business and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, write to us and we will delete it. Each of our games will say, before release, who it is suitable for and how it treats younger players.
15. Changes to this policy
We will update this page when what we do changes, for example before a game is released. The date and version at the top always show the current one. If a change is significant, we will say so at the top of this page.
